The Star motor is a classic design from the early years of electromagnetic motors - a horseshoe magnet, probably in soft iron, with an armature mounted between the poles. The magnetic flux is poorly directed, and this small motor would have had quite low efficiency. The specs above are a guess, based on the above assumption! It is not included in the 1960 KK handbook, and was probably withdrawn before that date...
The dual-purpose pulley/bar connector seems to have been a common item at that time. I have seen several other manufacturers using it...
